My Background
Hello, my name is Sunghoon. I am a native Korean speaker, and a 100% certified Korean language teacher recognized by the National Institute of Korean Language.
I have over 5 years of teaching experience both online and in-person since early 2020. I’ve taught hundreds of students around the world from all walks of life. My students have various reasons to take lessons - studying or working in Korea, taking up a new hobby, re-connecting with their family of Korean heritage and more. They are making progress each week to reach their goals.
I strive to be a respectful and open-minded individual and have a great deal of respect for people who constantly challenge themselves to learn new things. Learners of all ages, nationalities, professions, and gender groups are welcome.

Here is what you can expect from my classes:
• Learn in a safe and comfortable learning space while having fun! You'll be encouraged to make mistakes and learn through trial and error. If you need, I can also gently push you just enough to help you reach your goal more effectively.
• Tailored lessons based on your current level and learning goals.
• Variety of teaching materials including textbooks from Korea’s top language schools and other online resources like Talk To Me in Korean and more.
• Engaging and interactive class through role plays, casual conversations, and culture exchange.
The Korean Language Classes
Private Online Korean Lessons
I offer 1:1 online Korean lessons through Zoom or Preply, an online language tutoring platform. Please click on ‘Book a class’ or send me an email if you’d like to schedule a trial class at a reduced rate.
Group Online Korean Classes
Group lessons are available both online and in-person. Maximum group size is limited to 12 people to ensure that each student has an even opportunity to participate in speaking exercises and receive individual feedback from the teacher.
Corporate Lessons - Individual or Group (Online/Offline)
Corporate lessons are meant for businesses, organizations, and start-ups with international employees who need to improve their Korean skills. Please contact me for more information.
